Artist's Comments

I wanted to try a very delicate watercolor illustration depicting a younger Miki, several years before she met Hiro. I've always admired watercolorists who allow the color to flow outside the lines, so I used that approach for the skirt, scarf, and boots.

Though I titled this as a watercolor, it also includes colored pencil and just a touch of Photoshop in the eyes.

...You are braver than I. If I see lines, I have serious issues with letting anything go outside of it.

She's so cute!

This is the best kind of person to talk to: someone who is willing to take an honest look at the evidence. Being willing is essential. Evidence cannot convince the unwilling.

Those who thought and never tried,
And those who tried and never thought.
