I've always loved this scene from "Kiki's Delivery Service," so I thought I'd see how it would look with my characters Miki and Anra playing the parts of Kiki and Jiji.
I had fun giving the characters the "flat" look of cell animation while rendering the background in a more 3-D way. Until the day when I get to see my own characters animated for real, I suppose this is as close as I'll get! Thank you, Hayao Miyazaki, for many years of inspiration... |
