I love this scene from the book. I also love the book in general. It's really useful for an amateur manga learner like me. ^_^ Thanks a bunch for what was taught in the book. They really helped a lot.

While I may take a look at the book I must say this art seems... Out of place. The background is very nice and detailed but the character is not. The two do not go very good together.

I love both parts of the picture, but since the character is outlined, and the background is not, she stands out to much and appears flat, like a cardboard cutout. The background is beautiful though, I think you should try to draw your characters the same way, at least in illustrations like this.
