Miki Falls Autumn p. 26 by markcrilley Miki Falls Autumn p. 26 by markcrilley
This was the point where I said, "Dang it, Crilley, stop winging it!" I forced myself to really learn how to draw manga eyes properly and to focus on getting the anatomy as close to proportional as I could manage.

It looks so amazing. I'm so glad you chose to draw Miki that way. I love the detailed shading that you did. Very nice.

well that's some major changes, although the poses are the same. It's admirable that you're able to discover your own mistakes and mercilessly correcting them. It's just as a guy on youtube said: "You must be careful not to fall in love with your work."

I guess those times studying the works of Rembrandt and others paid well of when trying to make your drawings more proportionally correct =) Stil, your ability to stick to your own style is amazing!

The first sketch makes Miki look 9 or 7, but the second draft makes Miki more mature-like and older.

All I must say is, you found a better way. Even though the rough Miki is amazing and cute, the newer Miki is amazing and more lifelike, not that manga or anime is suppose to be lifelike, but it has more curves, is more proportionate, curvy, and smooth. Wonderful job.

Hi, Mr Crilley

I must praise you with your beautiful talent, you are very lucky to have your manga published. I was wondering if is that hard. (confusing) What i was trying to say is that I wish I could draw as good as you!!!!!!!!!!!

Please check my drawings!

The redo is much better the the origanal. no offense, but the sketch makes miki look like a six year old. there is definetly improvement.

Miki's gonna kick some butts XD

What a difference from the draft! There's just so much more emotions in your final drawing. Interesting to see what a few modifications can do to a drawing
