Thought people might enjoy seeing a panel in the making. This will be the opening panel of my next Brody's Ghost sneak preview comic, due online in about a month.

A bit overboard on the detail, perhaps, but I really want people to get a strong visual sense of Brody's world...

How do you make the background look so busy? My backgrounds, if they exist, tend to be very small. The only exceptions are those where I go back and map out what the components to each part are and how they work. After that, I can get started and go somewhere with it.

I've seen a few videos you had on the subject, but a video on how you came up with a particular environment wouldn't be remiss.

Damn! I checked out the sneak peak on Brody's Ghost at Myspace...

O__O I didn't know Mark Crilley could draw and paint so damn good. I mean I saw him at youtube of course but I really didn't know he was so pro at this! Well its to be expected if it's published by Dark Horse.

Nicely done, I'm so buying the manga/comic

What kind of paper do you use? Or did you just use a Sepia tone effect to make it brown? Anyway this looks really cool! Can't wait to see it finished!
