Here are the first fourteen pages of my new Dark Horse graphic novel series, "Brody's Ghost", in their entirety.

I knew I had a pretty big story to tell, so I wanted to take the time at the outset to establish the main character and the futuristic location very solidly in the reader's mind. Thus you see page after page of scenery, hopefully giving you a strong sense of your surroundings as you're pulled into the story.

I have to say Mr. Crilley (I don't think calling you Mark would be rude), at first I was unsure weather I wanted to by your books or not, because I thought Amerimanga would be bad compared to Asian ones, but...this. It certainly gripped me, and now I feel like I have to buy this book (assuming I'll get money and not blow it all on art supplies) next time I go to the library

Indeed. Of course, this is simply a graphic novel- they shouldn't always be considered 'Amerimanga' and such. It's a bit of a stereotype.

Omg, I used to watch your how to draw videos when I first discovered manga like 2 years ago!

YOU WERE LIKE MY ROLE MODEL. Then I realized I was never going to learn to draw that way. The only real way to learn how to draw is to just study other people work over and over and over, read anatomy books and draw for hours every single day until your fingers bleed ^_^ But you definitely helped me bet started, that's for sure...

I always wondered what your mangas looked like... This is pretty impressive, actually

I wish I had enough money to but it, but *sigh* I don't... btw, Was this done digitally? It kind of has this digital feel to it O.o Either that or you used screen tones.
